Muay Thai is referred to as "The Science of Eight Limbs", as the hands, shins, elbows, and knees are all used extensively in this art. A practitioner of Muay Thai thus has the ability to execute strikes using eight "points of contact," as opposed to "two points" (fists) in Western boxing and "four points" (fists, feet) used in the primarily sport-oriented forms of martial arts.

Class consists of a warm up, conditioning drills, pad work, bag drills, clinch work, technical instruction, light sparring and core training. Muay Thai is well known as being one of the most effective striking arts in the world and also incredible for overall body conditioning, weight loss and a fun and satisfying way to relieve stress and get your aggression out. For both men and women Muay Thai class is taught in a friendly safe manner where each person is pushed to their own personal fitness and comfort level whether they are training for completion or there to shed a few pounds and get in shape.

Jim Godoy is the head trainer for Muay Thai and Kickboxing. Jim grow up in San Deigo, CA. and began training in Kenpo in 1985 under Grand Master Bill Guinto.
