What is actually in it
This is not a highlight reel. It is the ranking curriculum TNT uses, numbered in the order it is taught, so you always know where you are and what comes next.
- Blue Belt, Novice — 16 and up
- Purple Belt, Advanced — 16 and up
- Brown Belt, Expert
- Black Belt, Professor — 19 and up
The material leans heavily toward real self-defense rather than points. Bear hug escapes, lapel grab defense, hair pull defense, guillotine defense and wrist locks all sit alongside the sweeps and submissions. That is what TNT teaches on the mat, and it is what is on film.
Who is teaching it
Professor Scott Tannenbaum is a 6th Degree black belt under Rigan Machado and the only 6th Degree No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt in Arizona. Forty years in martial arts, 26 years teaching, more than 150 MMA fights cornered, and instruction delivered to police, FBI and Special Forces in 26 countries.

Do I need to be a TNT member?
No. The curriculum is open to anyone, members and non-members alike.
Does watching it rank me up?
No. Rank is awarded on the mat, in person. The curriculum shows you exactly what each belt requires so you know what you are working toward.

Is it suitable for beginners?
It starts at blue belt level. A complete beginner is better served starting in a beginner class, in person if you can get to one.
